I love working with youth of all ages! I do in-school, afterschool, teen leadership, and camp programs. I love my community partnerships and the opportunity to learn from others who value and advocate for youth. I have been very lucky to work my entire career so far in areas that provide opportunities for youth to be successful. One of my favorite parts of Learning for Life is being able to update and create new curriculum for elementary, high school, and juvenile programs. My experience as a classroom instructor and public speaker enhanced my curriculum development skills. I was recognized by the National Learning for Life program for writing innovative and inclusive curricula and was invited to rewrite the National Learning for Life curricula in 2018. It was an amazing experience collaborating with other educators, principals, and youth advocates.
My favorite things to do outside of work are fishing, cooking, boating, hiking, and hanging out with family. I love planning events complete with themes, yummy foods, and learning opportunities. I may hold you hostage to look at some amazing pictures of my kids and grandkids along with some great fish stories of ones who have been caught!
