We all know getting outside is good for the body and the mind, but time, money, and opportunity can be huge barriers, especially for youth. In addition, when our curriculum is confined to a classroom, it restricts our students’ opportunity to build resilience, practice stewardship, and discover community. In this session, we will discuss a unique approach to leadership development, the practicalities of partnering with other organizations, and the transferability of trail ethics to life in a city.
